YAHUSHUA SPEAKS from BEGINNING to END

A Place to fellowship with the humble children of YHWH

Lets walk to work - it's good exercise

shalom mishpacha, "All praises and glory and honor to the Most High YAHWAH" - our creator, our sustainer and the origin all real blessings. I pray you and yours are allowing only the Most High to order your steps as we proceed foward. In this short blog message I'd like to delve into something I call our spiritual excercise >>> OUR WALK. The word in the biblical hebrew is h'lk or as presented in the concordance (Strong's 1980) - halak haw-lak' to walk / proceed foward, and that should be our daily directive. Yahushua spoke on several reasons why he came and if you sum them up they mainly point to what he stated in Mark 10:45,."..for even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many"- here he states he came to minister aka "sharath / serve" (Strong's 8334) so if we want to live up to our claims of being believers then we have to understand that our entire life has to be a ministry! . Those of us with understanding know that Yahushua h'mashiach is the head so if we are really the body than we MUST keep that body strong and one of the best ways is exercise. When it comes to exercising the physical body many of us have bought exercise equipment or purchased memberships to health clubs or have started jogging but many health professionals tell us: "just start a walking routine" (which we know is safe and healthy - period). When it come to our spiritual health how do we strenthen and develope that body? I think apostle Paul gave us some understanding in his 1st epistle to those in Corinth, in 1st Cor. 6:13 he wrote: "...meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but Elohym shall destroy both it and them. now the body is not for fornication, but for the Master; and the Master for the body". so we see that the body (although only temporary) is not really ours to do whatever we want but (especially carnally) but instead to serve the Master aka "support the head!" In that same epistle located in chapter 12 it gives us futher understanding, 1st Cor. 12:14-23 tells ..."for the body is not one member, but many. 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:16 and if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 12:18 but now hath Elohym set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 12:19 and if they were all one member, where were the body? 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body. 12:21 and the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 12:22 nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 12:23 and those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness" ... so we we can understand that as the body of mashiach we should all be strong but with different fuctions - ALL to support the head. Now lets look into that spiritual excercise we all need -> a good long walk! To strenthen ouselves spritually we MUST exercise daily through our work that we all should embrace with dilligence without tiring. We all have cetainly read the passage in James 2:17,."...faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works". the two main points we see here is faith and works which he shows MUST support each other, so one of the most important ways to exercise spiritually is to be strengthened by ultilizing faith. If our life is in-deed (not just in word) our ministry, than surely we should be living a life of faith as a start. We read of a phenominal example of a walk testing faith in Matthew 14:22 and 24-32, and straightway Yahushua constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 14:24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Yahushua went unto them, walking on the sea. 14:26 and when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 14:27 but straightway Yahushua spake unto them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid". 14:28 and Peter answered him and said, "Master, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water". 14:29 and he said, "Come". and when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Yahushua. 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, "Master, save me". 14:31 And immediately Yahushua stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, "O thou of little faith", wherefore didst thou doubt? 14:32 and when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. now we definately know this walk was NOT for any type of physical exercise but assuredly to give the disciples a opportunity to exercise their faith, ( looked like Peter and the fellas had a little more work to do in their walk). Another way to be strengthened is excercising many works to the glory of the Most High, in Matthew 5:16 we read, " let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"....ask yourself: there really any endtime benifits to our walk in works? we read in Matthew 16:27, ...."for the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works" ...nuff said?. If someone was to ask me personally "which part of the body would you be if you had a choice" my answer would be a easy one - the neck, not only because of it's close proximity to the head, but also because it gets to funnel the blood, oxygen, nerves, nutrition, etc... to the head and visa-versa, maybe not a glorious choice... but a purposeful one! Back to building up the body spiritually, If you notice those that dont accept YAHushua as h'mashiach dont ever really seem to wax stronger by blessings from on high... just more and more angry, however if you look at those in these time that believe in h'mashiach, they definately wax spiritually stronger and this is nothing new because Paul told us in Philippians 4:13, ..."I can do all things through mashiach which strengtheneth me". so we can see the source of strength for the true believers.... haleluYAH So mishpacha, no matter what we drive, pedal, fly or row as we get from place to place physically, lets make sure we " h'lk l'obd " or "WALK to work" or for fuller understanding- let our walk produce good works".... it's good exercise to strengthen your ministry, selah ... shalom
