Time to tell YOUR friend Goodbye

shalom alychem, meaning: peace be upon all. ~ first and foremost >>> ALL praises, honor and glory to the only deserving which is the Most High YHWH!!! and "baruka ha'bo b'shem YHWH"-> "blessed is YOUR coming in the name of YHWH" @ Yahushua - exclusively.

I sincerely pray all is well or you should know assuredly it will be soon.

This time around I'd like to swiftly deal with a attitude and mindset we ALL need to address pertaining to preparing and bettering ourselves for that necessary closer relationship with our creator YHWH. There is no time like the present to rededicate ourselves so the time is NOW to learn truth above "tradtion" and it's time right now to abandon worldy "philosophy".

learn: "tradition" is from the Latin traditionem (nominative traditio) "delivery, surrender, a handing down, a giving up to," noun of action from past participle stem of tradere "deliver, hand over," as in "lay in the hands of another" - statement, belief, or practice handed down from generation to generation, especially "belief or practice based on Mosaic law,"

also learn: "philosophy" comes from the Greek word "philosophia," which combines the words "philo" meaning "love of " and "sophia" meaning "wisdom", - so now we understand one's philosophy is: ONE'S LOVE OF THEIR OWN WISDOM (like the Greeks) as opposed to seeking varified truth.

So now we need to take that edification going forward and now begin the learning process! Years ago I wrote a blog for our website and the blog was titled "THROW DOWN THAT CRUTH AND WALK" ...It was not at all about being physically disabled but it was about being mentally & emotionally disabled. It was about the many addictions we have and how we often medicate ourselves ( uselessly ) instead of applying the knowledge, wisdom and understanding given from On High to really heal ourselves ( usefully ).

Why now? .....well let's revisit what Shaul / Paul wrote to those in Ephesus,

Ephesians 5:15-17, "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as WISE, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of YHWH is". ...nuff said!

IT'S TIME TO PREPARE OURSELVES FOR DELIVERANCE !

So now I would like to re-iterate some wisdom I have shared with some by chatroom and others by phone to those who can actually receive wisdom.

There are several levels of understanding but let's keep it simple and just deal with two,

1) the surface level and  2) the deeper level.
The scriptures often prophetically uses bodies of water (m'yam) to refer to people so I will apply this to make a point. The surface of the oceans is normally used by boaters and water skiers, but the deep is for submarines and scuba divers - and they are the ones that can really see what's going on, .....selah. We need to get deeper in wisdom than a submarine or scuba diver in water ( people ) to fix some of our own and also society's ills.

Most of us should have learned from our loving parents and or guardians "be careful of the company you keep" .....and they told us this out of wisdom for our own well being even though we may not have been mature enough to fully understand that instruction / warning. It seems very simple to apply but I will prove it's not as simple as it sounds and I have a controversy with us ignoring the blessing of this wisdom because it has not even remotely been applied as it should have! ( to our shame ).

In today's societies there is a plague of various negative addictions many fail to be delivered from such as: alcohol, smoking, drug abuse, gambling, stealing, sex addiction, pornography, fame, seeking fortunes, food and sweets addictions, shopping, video games, texting, and some are even addicted to the internet, - and ALL of these are "non-human friends" people take comfort in more they they would a loving human friend, .....wow!

Now let's get to some strong wisdom afforded to us from on High:

Only The Most High YHWH can deliver us out of the hand of the enemy as we read in:

2nd Samuel 22:2-3, And he said, YHWH is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 22:3 The Elohim of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

psalms 34:17,The righteous cry, and YHWH heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
psalms 50:15, And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
psalms 107:6, Then they cried unto YHWH in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

But NO ONE can deliver us out of the hand of the Most High as we read in:

psalms 37:1-2, Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 37:2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Hebrews 10:30-31, For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith YHWH. And again, YHWH shall judge his people. 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Elohim.

I'm referring to these to re-affirm that the Most High can deliver us out of the hands of anything, but NO ONE can deliver us out of the hands of the Most High! Now understanding this

I can thoroughly make my point >>>
YWWH WILL DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES BUT HE HAS NOT PROMISED TO DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR FRIENDS!

( why do you think YHWH left the children of Israel in Egypt so long? ..... because they didn't whole-heartedly declare disobedience as their enemy! )

So if YOU declare to the Most High that any addiction or sin you choose to participate in is your friend instead of your enemy, then you WILL NOT receive deliverance, ...however if you sincerely declare that addiction or sin truly a enemy, ....only then is he faithful to deliver you from it, YES >>> it's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! .....selah

age old wisdom: "CHOOSE YOUR FRIEND WISELY"

From the mid 1500's there was a old saying: "if a man can be known by nothing else, then he may be known by his companions", .... and hundreds of years later we heard the Ralph Waldo Emerson version: “Show me who a man’s friends are and I will tell you who he is". ....nuff said!

In our original shemetic language I like to study, the words for friend are:

re`eh, pronounced: ray-eh' - from 7462; a (male) companion / friend. (Strong's 7463)

r`uw pronounced: reh-oo' - friend; Reu, a postdiluvian patriarch: Reu (Strong's 7466)

Let's look at a few scriptural examples of worthy friends:

proverbs 17:17-18, "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. 7:18 A man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend". .....~ a friend worth holding on to!

proverbs 22:11, He that loveth pureness of heart, for the favour of his lips the king shall be his friend. .....~ a friend even a King finds worthy!

proverbs 27:6, Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. .....~ a friend worth holding on to!

proverbs 27:9, Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel. .....~ a friend worth listening to!

Let's now look at a few scriptural examples of wicked friends:

proverbs 1:10-16, My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 1:13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: 1:16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood, .....~ CUT THESE FRIENDS LOOSE!

James 4:2-4, Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with YHWH? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of YHWH. .....~ CUT THIS FRIENDSHIP LOOSE!

1st Cor. 15:33, Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. .....~ CUT THESE FRIENDS LOOSE!

Let's look at a great example of what the Yahshua h'mashiach says about the responsibility of righteous friends:

John 15:13-15, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, "IF" ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his master doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you"
.....~ Our messiah made it quite plain that a real friend's job includes laying down his life to preserve another's life, NEVER to harm a real friend's life ( like addictions do ).

understand: That thief "h'shatan the moron" who comes to steal kill and destroy his main enemy ( mankind ), has long known the best way to destroy a enemy is to >>> FIRST MAKE HIM YOUR FRIEND .....selah ( go re-read proverbs 12:26 )

But we must be aware of these wiles of the devil as Shaul also admonished them back then and us still to do today in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil". .....~ meaning YOU must NOT allow him to be your friend leading you into temptation. So if you still struggle with any type of addictions then guess what? >>> YOU ARE GUILTY OF LOVING A WICKED FRIEND!

Not to forget the admonishment of Shaul in 1st Cor. 15:33-34, "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of Elohim: I speak this to your shame". .....~ So our own desired communication with corrupt friends is NOT righteousness, .....it's a shameful sign of weakness.

Maybe we need to focus and accept the instruction / wisdom that's written in James 1:12-16,
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which YHWH hath promised to them that love him. 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of YHWH: for YHWH cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren".

.....~ James makes a very strong point here about OUR own participation in sin, he clearly states that sins and participation of them is because WE lust to that destructive behavior, and addictions is most often a result of OUR corrupt desires - so how do we expect YHWH do deliver us from OUR own hand picked destructive "friends"?

again: YWWH WILL DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES BUT HE HAS NOT PROMISED TO DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR FRIENDS!

We all know prayer changes things, but when was the last time you actually prayed against a friend you really love & embrace? ....is that even possible?

well, >>> IT'S TIME YOU TELL THAT FRIEND OF YOURS - GOODBYE !!!
