YAHUSHUA SPEAKS from BEGINNING to END

A Place to fellowship with the humble children of YHWH

shalom mishpacha, ALL praises to the most high YHWH and "baruka ha'bo beh shem YHWH", "blessed is your coming in the name of YHWH" ->>> Yahushua.
I pray all is well with you and yours and will soon be even better.

In this very short inculcation I'd like us to re-examine some titles and designations that the mashiach Yahushua himself attributed to his followers so that we can look at ourselves in this hour and see IF we are deserving enough to fit them.
Most of us in this walk of truth have transformed from our govenrment names into names from the patriarcal language, no matter where we are on this earth, - but now the next question is not concerning your location but your desination when I ask: whats your address?
Today many people in various faiths are desirous of appointed titles such as morehs, elders, rabbis, - (of Ysraelite faith), or apostles, prophets, prophetesses, decons, reverends, bishops, cardinals, etc... all the way up to pope, - (in christianity), not to mention the many other coveted titles of the many other religions or faiths.

BUT have you really considered the wisdom given in Job chapter 32 vs. 21-22.  Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. 22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away. ......- WOW!!!

We know that we learned while in the churches that the messiah called his followers his "disciples", but thats not the only title or purpose he had for them as well as us. Lets review the scriptures to see how he addressed them at various times in his walk with him:

1) akh'ym / brothers ~> MattiYahu 23:8-9, "But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even mashiach; and all ye are BRETHREN. 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven".
.....- Yahushua was instructing them to be family - and to be humble members of his family.

2) ben'y h'yqrym / little children ~> John 13:33, "Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you".
.....- Yahushua was establishing for them the understanding that he won't be around as their guardian to hold their hands too much longer, so they still have much to learn and there still is some growing up and maturing that needs to take place

3) talmad'ym / taught ones ~> John 13:35, "By this shall all men know that ye are my DISCIPLES, if ye have love one to another.
.....- Yahushua was articulating to them to "represent" him and his teachings by the outward showing of love.

4) rea'ym / friends ~> John 15:13-14, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my FRIENDS "IF" ye do whatsoever I command you".
.....- Yahushua was letting them know what REAL friends do - sacrifice, and the way they can reciprocate his sacrifice is by following HIS instructions.

5) ben'y / sons ~> John 21:5, Then Yahushua saith unto them, "my SONS, have ye any meat?" They answered him, No
.....- Yahushua (after his ressurection) addressed those that continued in his teachings as his children (not his fishing buddies) - proving ALL authority had been given to him from his Abba >>> YHWH

6) shelach'ym / apostles ~> Luke 10:3, "Go your ways: behold, I SEND YOU forth as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way".
.....- Yahushua was giving them them their work order to "go get busy" - even in the midst of predators. He also let them know not to worry about provision because: to whom he gives vision - he will give provision. Also he instructed them to NOT have "respect of persons".

Last but not least let's look at how Yahushua spoke to Shymon / Simon Peter after he appeared to them again the third time but now at the sea of Tiberias, we read in John 21:15-18: 15 So when they had dined, Yahushua saith to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?" He saith unto him, Yea, Master; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, "Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?" He saith unto him, Yea, Master; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me?" And he said unto him, Master, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Yahushua saith unto him, "Feed my sheep". ......- we should remember from Luke chapter 5 that when Simon Peter first encounterd Yahushua, Simon was employed at his vocation of fishing - and at his last encounter, Yahushua had to interupt him because he had gone back doing what he was comfortable with >>> fishing, ....but NOT for men! ~ so this refresher course was necessary.

Anyway, h'mashiach used the terms for his followers as MY lambs ( telaym ) and sheep ( tzneh ) as opposed to lambs and goats ( atzym ), for the simple reason that lambs and sheep listen for a certain voice and then they can be lead ( John 10:4-5 & 27 ), ......but goats most often have to be driven with force!
In your professed walk in the truth, how could Yahushua himself honestly address You at this time? - are we worthy of any or ALL of these scriptural titles? .....WE BETTER BE !
......selah and shalom
