YHWH'S ladder

shalom mishpacha, firstly: ALL honor, praises and glory to the Most High YHWH and "baruka ha'bo b'shem YHWH" aka "blessed is your coming in the name YHWH" ->>> Yahushua.

                              I pray all is well or know assuredly it will be soon.

In this brief inculcation I'd like us to go back and examine some early script that we just like to skim over due to lack of spiritual understanding. But first as I mentioned previously for our set-apart growth: >>> Many speakers and teachers today revel in how well they can "go though the scriptures", but the rest of us with wisdom understand: it's more righteous to "LET THE SCRIPTURES GO THROUGH YOU" ( yep, I'ma drill this in you till you get it )

aka: manifesting itself in CHANGED BEHAVIOR!

So let's go back and absorb a part of torah enlightenment we have failed to embrace for whatever reason - for centuries till now mistakenly taught and known as "Jacob's ladder" or in Hebrew: "Yacob's solam" ( Strong's 5551 sool-lawm: a stair-case - ladder ) as recorded in b'reshyth aka Genesis chapter 28. I declare it mistakenly known because it was YHWH's "ladder", a vision GIVEN TO Jacob, NOT something Jacob created or climbed himself. If you think that YHWH just threw out the ladder image randomly, then you need think again! - The heavenly Father always gives us what we need for understanding commensurate with our abilty to understand. Some think and teach these are stairs but anybody can climb stairs, But you have to HOLD ON and be careful (not careless) when you climb a ladder, .....selah

This encounter seems very vague at first but when we seriously examine it, it has prophetic "antitype" meanings then and now. Many actually think this is some trivial vision with no real meaning to us, But anytime the ALMIGHTY YHWH visits or sends anyone a vision or message >>> it's NEVER TRIVIAL! There are very few times in our scriptures that YHWH allows his sent messengers aka "angels" to manifest themselves to mankind even in a dream or vision, and whenever he did allow it >>> IT WAS VERY SERIOUS! ( try and name one time when it wasn't ).
Back to the topic, we first notice through scripture Yacob was sent to the place Padan-aram      ( plains of Aram aka Syria ) after receiving a blessing from his Father Isaac - after Isaac did know it was Yacob and not Esau.

In Genesis 28:1, And Isaac called Yacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, "Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. 28:2 Arise, go to Padan-aram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother. 28:3 And El-Shaddai bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; 28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which Elohim gave unto Abraham".

First we see the main purpose he was sent: To go get a wife and start your own life! ( meaning: GET OUT OUR ATTIC AND GET YOUR OWN HOUSE! ) ....as to continue on the promise given to Abraham, and also to: GET AWAY FROM THE WRATH OF YOUR CRAZY BROTHER ESAU, But did you catch, this would be Yacob's first time he spent the night away from home? .....lol

learn: Abraham was told to get thee up, away from the land of his idol making - idol worshiping Fathers which would have led to his damnation and death, and now Yacob was told to get away from his Father AND pampering Mother "Ribqah" ( name meaning: "to tie, bind, trap, snare ) to also escape death, ......selah. Yacob like Abraham also had to leave his "comfort zone", But in the process of time we see that YHWH showed and proved to Yacob he could comfort him more and stronger than his loving Mother Ribqah aka Rebekah ever could, We also need to learn and that Yacob was headed for the place called Haran which means "parched" and it's a city whose ruins lie within present-day Turkey >>> NOT ISRAEL, as some would suppose.

Anyway, we read next: 28:10 And Yacob went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran. 28:11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. ......~ is it just me or do "pillows of stone" sound a little uncomfortable? But after deeper spiritual insight I realized he wanted and needed his head solidly elevated mainly because that's where a head should be, elevated! Not to mention where he came from, to commune with the Elohym of his fathers: El Shaddai ( The Amighty Power that nourishes / sustains ) you had to build a alter of stones ( re-read Genesis 12:4-8, 13:3-4, 13:17-18 ) and that's what Yacob did and that's what happened!

Continuing in Genesis 28:12, And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of Elohim ascending and descending on it. .......~ well obviously this alter method worked but did you also notice the scripture states: "the angels of Elohim ascending and descending", pay attention! >>> the "angels" aka watchers and messengers were going up before coming back down, meaning: YHWH was showing him they were already down on earth WITH HIM before coming back up to the heavens! ( as in Job 1:6, & 2:1 ) and this is going to continue ( Good thing wicked Nimrod didn't figure this out ).

Continuing in Genesis 28:13, And, behold, YHWH stood above it, and said, "I am YHWH Elohim of Abraham thy father, and the Elohim of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. 28:15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of ". .......~ Here we see YHWH standing at the top of HIS created ladder and NOT coming down himself ( because he doesn't vacate his throne! ) while confirming to Yacob what he told Abraham in Genesis 12:3,

Then he plainly showed Yacob these appointed ascending and descending "messengers" would continue communication between the heaven and the Earth - thus the PROPHETS! >>> and we can't forget this strong promise and confirmation that he will be with the seed of Abraham ANYWHERE he goes, And Yacob did later prosper from this promise when he met and worked for Laban and the flocks increased, even though many people errantly think it was the hard work of Yacob's hands, >>> NOT!!! ( re-read Genesis 31:5, 31:42 ).

BUT obviously even Yacob doubted that promise we saw in verse 15, "And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of ". ......~ point: remember when he left his Father-in-law Laban traveling with his wives and children and had to face a encounter with his brother Esau? ( re-read Genesis 32:1-8 ), Yacob was scared senseless! >>> SO WHERE WAS HIS FAITH IN THE DIRECT PROMISE TO HIM FROM YHWH ???

And for those of you that actually pay attention, We don't see or hear of YHWH's name mentioned for at least 20 years after the ladder dream till what's recorded in chapter 31:3, .....WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ???

~ I wrote a message over 8 years ago called: "From Jacob to Y'sarel" that many didn't read but really need to read that's listed on the room's website to grow in understanding of YHWH's plan for our patriarch and lineage.

Continuing in Genesis 28:16, And Yacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, "Surely YHWH is in this place; and I knew it not". 28:17 And he was afraid, and said, "How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of Elohim, and this is the gate of heaven". 2:18, And Yacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. 28:19 And he called the name of that place Bethel, but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. .......~ Yacob obviously believed that YHWH was in that place only and didn't yet understand he was giving him the heads-up that he would be anywhere he needs him to be. We also see that when he woke and realized he experienced the desired encounter with of the Elohym of Abraham, he should do what his fore-fathers did and set up that stone pillar / alter and he then anointed it some oil he obviously carried with him.

learn: he didn't bring a pillow or anything with him for comfort but he did bring oil for annointing, aka priority matters! ....... BIG UP @ Yacob

Continuing in Genesis 28:20, And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, "If" Elohim will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, 28:21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall YHWH be my Elohim: 28:22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be Elohim's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. ......~ maybe Yacob was trying to challenge his Elohym to protect him, although YHWH ALREADY TOLD YACOB HE WOULD! .....BAD CAREER MOVE!

Yacob also must have heard of that previous interaction between his Grandfather Abraham and Melek Tzadiq aka Melchizedek the King of Salem because is was renown how Abraham gave a tenth as recorded in Genesis 14:20: "and blessed be El-Elyon, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand", And he gave him tithes of all. .......~ so at his time Yacob wasn't sure who was speaking to him in that ladder dream but he was willing to honor this entity "IF" this was the same Power that protected Abraham.

And we must not overlook the fact that Yacob prayed to the Father of Abraham and Isaac - but FAILED to claim abba YHWH as HIS own personal Elohym in his personal time of testing, ( re-read Genesis 31:42, & 53,)
31:42 Except the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. Elohim hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
31:53 The Elohim of Abraham, and the Elohim of Nahor, the Elohim of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.

......~ so YHWH is not HIS personal Elohym? ...WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ?

anyway, some believe Yacob's spoke his vow responding to the promise given by Elohym was obviously based on uncertainty or lack of faith on his part ( this is another major difference between Yacob and Yahushua ) - but maybe just maybe Yacob spoke this vow in his own ignorance of how to perfectly deal with the Almighty creator and protector, >>> AND WE HAVE ALL DONE THAT BEFORE!

point: Yacob wasn't yet fully willing to make YHWH his Elohym and Father until he got what HE wanted, and YHWH made him pay for that through the mis-treatment by his earthy Father "in-law" Laban. ( in law?.... who's law?) .. SO YOU WANTED PUT YOUR FAITH IN MAN HUH YACOB ???

And isn't that the same Laban and daughter that worshiped idols? >>> Genesis 31:19, 31:30, 31:32, 31:34, So Yacob still trusted in a idol worshiper male relative and lusted after a idol worshiping woman, .....but didn't trust YHWH? Didn't he know YHWH commanded his male relative Abraham to leave his people to get away from this type of existence? ( maybe they didn't tell him huh? ). Not to ignore Rachel was the type that was willing to go to a new place but still hold on to her old paganism as a form of security.

It's not till what we read in Genesis 32:1 when he was sent back home by YHWH (Genesis 31:3) we again hear of those same YHWH sent ladder angels aka messengers re-appearing, >>> 32:1 And Jacob went on his way, and the angels of Elohim met him. ........~ yep, he was shown he still had a heavenly connection and protection as promised during the ladder dream.

learn: A ladder is a very primitive tool and we should have enough sense to know how a ladder works, You ascend or descend step by step - aka ONE RUNG AT A TIME! - The rungs are horizontal to facilitate this movement as well as to "support" the structure, so the Most High YHWH in this vision let Yacob know, -> even as his appointed messengers and watchers sent to "support" mankind have to follow orders and move step by step >>> then so will he (Yacob) and his seed have to do the same to get to his Kingdom. remember psalms 37:23, "The steps of a good man are ordered by YHWH and he delighteth in his way". .......~ nuff said !!!

As I stated previously this encounter was to be prophetic and it was, most "scholars" (lol) didn't catch it - but if we fast forward thousands of years to the account when Nathanael first met Yahushua as recorded in John chapter 1 we read something very very important that they can't teach you and you probably never considered:

John 1:47-51, Yahushua saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Yahushua answered and said unto him, "Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee". 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of YHWH; thou art the King of Israel. 1:50 Yahushua answered and said unto him, "Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? ...thou shalt see greater things than these". 1:51 And he saith unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, >>> Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of YHWH ascending and descending upon the Son of man".

WHOA! ....now we can finally make the connection! >>> What Yacob saw was a vision for his relationship with Elohym, and that YHWH will always be in contact with him and his seed and will have them protected.... BUT later what his seed and all the believers will see will be literal visual relationship between the Elohym of the heavens and his appointed one, but because Yahushua has a direct connection, NO EXTRA LADDER WILL BE NEEDED! Yahushua is OUR ladder! .......selah

I know this seems simple now but this understanding was really simple all along, .....for those of us that will hear and absorb scripture, like I stated: finally let the scripture go through us.

my point: WE with a quest for truth should NEVER stop learning because life NEVER stops teaching!

Certainly becomes more CLEARER when one pays ATTENTION TO THE WORD.  I have to admit  what I as thinking when I first read this, that, Yacob had little FAITH IN YAH'S WORD.

Now I have THE  TOTAL MESSAGE.
