YAHUSHUA SPEAKS from BEGINNING to END

A Place to fellowship with the humble children of YHWH

shalom mishpacha, ALL praises to the most high YHWH and "baruka ha'bo b'shem YHWH", "blessed is your coming in the name of YHWH" ->>> Yahushua.

I pray all is well with you and yours and will soon be even better.

This time around I just wanted to offer more than a few compiled scriptures pertaining to something many of us have talked about but failed to actually do, and that is ->>> die to self and RENEW OUR MINDS.

The Most High YHWH has set everything in order since the foundation of the world that exist, and during existence everything dealing with the earth and it's inhabitants has to be re-newed from time to time ( that's also what the flood Noah and his family went through was all about ) as in a new day, a new week, a new month, a new season, a new year, etc... So the creatures must follow suit and mankind doesn't even get a pass. Yes we humans all go through physical and even spiritual changes / renewals whether male or female either monthly or yearly, etc. - but I mainly want to deal with the MENTAL changes or renewals we believers must go through and why.

WE MUCH TOO OFTEN WANT OUR CREATOR TO "FIX" US SPIRITUALLY OR PHYSICALLY, ....BUT WE ELUDE OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX OUR OWN SELVES MENTALLY FIRST, ->>> WHICH IS MANDATORY!  WHEN ARE WE GONNA STOP TELLING YHWH WHAT TO DO AND GET SERIOUS ABOUT OUR OWN PORTION TO BE RESTORED? ( re-examine James 4:8 )

I'm sure most of us have read all of psalms 51 and understand the intent, especially in verse 10, 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim; and renew a right spirit within me", ......~ did you notice our petition / request for the Almighty Elohym to move into action and help? -> but how about OUR responsibility to help ourselves?

We have notice quite a few people have begun to beguile their ownselves because they have been studying the scriptures regularly and now may think they are ready to go to the head of the class as a Saint or a Scholar, ....but wait, NOT SO FAST -> did they first do a check-up from the neck up?

Based on the world we live in and all we have to deal with around us on a daily basis we need to "check ourselves before we wreck ourselves" by "cleaning the junk out our attics", or as the wise folks say: The BIGGEST room in the world >>> is the room for self improvement, .......selah

Part 1 - Why does our mind need to be renewed?
The mind has been programmed with natural "established attitudes",
but how were these formed? - mainly by the influence / recommendations:
(1) of our parents
(2) of the educational system
(3) of society ( books, television, movies, internet, etc.)
(4) of religious training

also has been programmed from reflections:
(1) personal observation
(2) personal experience
(3) personal compromise

Authoritative reasons why our mind needs to be renewed:
Because ELOHYM knows our every thought,
JeremiYah 17:10 - "I YHWH search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings".

JeremiYah 20:12 - But, O YHWH of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, .........."

Revelation 2:23 - "And I will kill her children with death; and all the assemblies shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works".

~ Now honestly examine yourself: If there was a mental-video device that could record ALL the thoughts that still go through your mind, would you want to play it back for everyone to see and judge? ...........well? ~

So does this not reveal the necessity of renewing the mind while you still can?

The mind needs to be renewed with Elohymly "established attitudes"

(1) Initial and continual renewal of the mind daily = regenerative renewal as in:
Psalms 1:1-2 - Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.1:2 But his delight is in the law of YHWH; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Titus 3:5 - Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Set-apart Spirit.
1st Corinthians 2:16 - For who hath known the mind of YHWH, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of the Messiah.

Hebrews 8:10 - "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith YHWH; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them Elohim, and they shall be to me a people".

Hebrews 10:16 - "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith YHWH, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them"

(2) then: continual renewal & sanctifying renewal as in:

Philipians 2:5 - "Let this mind be in you, which was also in the Messiah Yahushua"

Philipians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things".

Colosians 3:2 - "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth".

Revelation 22:11- "........and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is set-apart, let him be set-apart still".

(3) Our thoughts and attitudes of the mind serve as the conduits which allow for the mobilization of Elohymly behavior by the creator's energizing as in:
Proverbs 23:7 - "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he......" (in behavior)
1st Peter 1:13 - "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the favour that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Yahushua the Messiah"

Then our own "established attitudes" pervert into "mind-sets" such as:

(1) Mind-set about ourselves like: false sense of identity, and external acceptance as in "how do I look?" and also guilt, depression as in attitudes of worthlessness, inferiority. And the scriptures never tells us to focus on this type of vanity! - but what we need to understand is: Ecclesiastes 1:2 - Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

(2) Mind-sets about other people like: people pleasing, self-conscious also vain imaginations as in fears, phobias also attitudes of anger, hate, bitterness, resentment, revenge, criticism, jealousy, unforgiveness, blame, lack of trust, co-dependency, etc. - but what we need to understand is: 1st Corinthians 13:4-7 - Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

(3) Mind-set about things: as in materialism - "what am I going to buy next? also when we "love things - but use people", and don't forget addictions to various substances, objects, etc. ....even though they destroy families. - but what we need to understand is: James 1:14-15 - But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

(4) Mind-set about ideas: as in quest for knowledge or being philosophical, also the desire to be correct, accurate, right. - but what we need to understand is: Ecclesiastes 12:12 - And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Romans 1:22 - Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools1st Timothy 6:20 - O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.

(5) Mind-set about situations: like a paranoia of what might happen, the negative hypotheticals, or worry or panicing about inability to cope, etc. - but what we need to understand is: Proverbs 19:23 - The fear of YHWH tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

(6) Mind-set about Elohym: as in the tragic belief by some that he is now irrelevant, archaic, out-moded, unnecessary ....wth? - but what we need to understand is: Psalms 90:2 - Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art El. IsaiYah 40:28 - Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting Elohim, YHWH, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Part 2 - Important biblical references about the attitudes of our old minds that NEED to be renewed.

Romans 1:28 - "a depraved mind", to do things which are not proper: And even as they did not like to retain YHWH in their knowledge, YHWH gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

Romans 8:5,7 - "the mind set on the flesh": For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against YHWH: for it is not subject to the law of YHWH, neither indeed can be.

Romans 12:16 - "the haughty in mind": Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

2nd Corinthians 4:4 - "the blinded the minds of unbelieving": In whom the elohim of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious evangel of the Messiah, who is the image of YHWH, should shine unto them.

2nd Corinthians 11:3 - "minds led astray from simplicity and purity to mashiach": But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in the Messiah.

Ephesians 2:3 - "corrupt desires of the flesh and of the mind": Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others

Ephesians 4:17 - "the futility of their mind": This I say therefore, and testify in YHWH, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind

Phililpians 3:19 - "some set their minds on earthly things": Whose end is destruction, whose elohim is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

Colossians 1:21 - "the alienated and hostile in mind": And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.

Colossians 2:18 - "inflated in vanity by a fleshly mind": Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.

Titus 1:15 - "their mind and their conscience are defiled": Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

learn: If we "die to self daily" (1st Cor. 15:31) we will live again eternally in the resurrection!

Proof the scripture repeatedly calls for renewal:

IsaiYah 26:3 - "the steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace"

Romans 12:2 - "be transformed by the renewing of your mind"

2nd Corinthians 4:16 - "our inner man is being renewed day by day"

Ephesians 4:23 - "be renewed in the spirit of your mind"

Colosians 3:10 - "the new man is being renewed to a true knowledge..."

Titus 3:5 - "renewing by the Holy Spirit"

Professed attitudes of a renewed mind:

Matthew 22:37 - "Love YHWH with all your heart, soul, mind and strength"

1st Corinthians 2:16 - "we have the mind of mashiach"

Philipians 2:5 - "have this mind in you which was also in mashiach YAHushua"

Philipians 4:8 - "whatever is true, right, pure...let your mind dwell on these..."

Colosians 3:2 - "set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth"

Part 3 - So how can our mind be renewed to develop Elohymly established attitudes?

We must established attitudes re-formed to coincide with Elohym's attitudes
and consistent with HIS character of purity, righteousness, love, giving, mercy, in accord with the:
(1) newness of life in mashiach Yahushua - Romans 6:4

(2) newness of the Spirit - Romans 7:6

(3) new creature - 2nd Corinthians 5:17

(4) new man - Ephesians 4:24 & Colosians 3:10

(5) new covenant - Hebrews 8:8,13

(6) new and living way - Hebrews 10:20

It also requires personal discipline to renew Elohymly established attitudes because undisciplined minds and thinking retain natural or carnal attitudes,
and this is not the self-discipline of self-effort. We must discipline (exercise) our minds and thoughts to allow for Elohymly action mobilized through Elohymly established attitudes.

1st Timothy 4:7 - But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto righteousness.

Then a "mind-set" settled on YHWH and His activity, leading to a "steadfast mind" set on the things of YHWH

Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit thy works unto YHWH, and thy thoughts shall be established"

IsaiYah 26:3 - "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee"

Philipians 4:8 - "whatever is true, right, pure...let your mind dwell on these..."

Colosians 3:2 - " Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth....."
( and none of these passages refer to an idle mind as in daydreaming, procrastinating, wasting time, fantasizing but instead a "mind-set" on YHWH's character and HIS ways.)

Then a uplifting "mind-set" that rejoices in YHWH and His blessings such as:

(1) Laughter, as in Proverbs 15:13 - A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. and also: 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones

(2) Love for others, as in John 13:34 & 35 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another, 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. and also: Romans 5:5 - And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of YHWH is shed abroad in our hearts by the Set-apart Spirit which is given unto us.

(3) Songs in your heart, as in Ephesians 5:19 - Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to YHWH.

(4) Joy, as in - Philipians 4:4 - Rejoice in YHWH always: and again I say, Rejoice and also: 1st. Thessalonians 5:16 - Rejoice evermore!

This message was compiled for us to save and examine from time to time just to inform some and remind others that we DO NOT yet have it all together spritually and unfortunately NOT even mentally! So before we start giving YHWH orders we first better get ourselves and our attitudes toward his purpose for us right - and only then we will experience the desired relationship intended. ......nufff said!

and again: Colosians 3:9-10, Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have PUT OFF the old man with his deeds, 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.
