The upper room - shadow figure of the Kingdom

                                          I pray all of you are well and your families also.

 

In this brief message this time around in what could still be called "the shadow figures series" I'd like to deal and reveal with the purpose of a session that the mashiach Yahushua had with his chosen talmadym aka "disciples" just before his betrayal and assassination.

If we read in our bsurah aka "good news" portion of the scriptures we can revisit that interaction. First we need to duly note for the edification of self as well as those we can influence with truth - that the brit chadashah or so-called "new covenant" doesn't really start at Matthew chapter 1 like most of our King James and other versions have manipulated us to believe when we open our books after the end of Malaki chapter 4 and then see it printed as: "The NEW TESTAMENT of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ " ( there is soooo much to correct here - but not right now ), --- obviously the translators, editors and publishers didn't read the contents before they put this in print because if they would have they would see that only Yahushua ( not themselves ) could make that declaration out of his mouth as to when the "new covenant" started. Those of us that take the book seriously know that the declared "new covenant" truthfully starts at: Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20 and in the 13th chapter of John, all written before then were simply recollected accounts leading up to it.

Now that we understand what and where we are reading lets look at the situation in it's context, - when it was time to gather the DAY BEFORE the Passover "seder" ( a hebrew word meaning order - hint hint! ) Yahushua told 2 of his talmadym, Peter and John to follow (NOT LEAD) the man that was a servant with a vessel of water as we remember from Mark 14:13, And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, "Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him". ~ & also Luke 22:10, And he said unto them, "Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in" ......- and we should all know that not only does water nourish and refresh - because nothing can live without water, but it is also the universal cleanser, - so very necessary for Kingdom entrance.

Then we have to make sure we don't overlook the fact that Yahushua wanted them to go to a special area prepared, >>> a upper place or room - as we read in Mark 14:14-15, "...and wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 15 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us". ~ & also Luke 22:11-13, "...and ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover". ......- remember how h'mashiach said shortly after this he's going to get them a furnished place as confirmed in John 14:2-3, ".....In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". ......- he was confirming what they just rehearsed during this pre-passover gathering >we are in and going to higher ground! ( Notice how Judas was the 1st one out the higher place? - just like h'shatan out of the higher heavens! )

Yahushua also was showing them another mindset and heartset necessary for Kingdom living by washing their feet, this was not just a ritual showing of humility as he successfully articulated in John 13:12-15,

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, "Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me rabbi and adon: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your adon and rabbi, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you". ......- but he also taught them this is something they need to practice to prepare many to walk on and continue on qodesh / holy ground.

Remember what we read back in the torah at shmote aka "exodus" 3:5, And he said, "Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground". ......- YHWH let it be know by command (NOT suggestion) long ago that to get near him or walk in his direction you must be clean all the way down to your feet. We also read in Yoshua / Joshua 5:15, And the captain of YHWH's host said unto Joshua, "Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so". ......- Many fail to understand that the concern wasn't about what kind of shoes were being worn, shoes are made to protect our feet from the ground - but when in YHWH's presence do our feet really need to be protected? ... and from what? - the feet in these cases is the physical "point of contact"... it must not be obstructed!. Let us also not overlook the important fact that shoes are man-made and fashioned BUT man's bare feet are YHWH-made and fashioned, let us also not forget most shoes were made of DEAD animal hide - so how to you go before the creator of LIFE with death strapped to your feet? ....duh!

Back to the act of washing, Yahushua wants us to remember that the types and shadows from torah was being brought to fruition at that time and must continue on, remember reading shmote 30:17-21, 17 And YHWH spake unto Moses, saying, 18 "Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. 19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: 20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto YHWH: 21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations" ......- also we see a example from torah in wyqra 5:6, 5 And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which YHWH commanded to be done. 6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water. ......- point being ->>> ALL attempting to do a higher service in the name of YHWH must be clean inside AND out!

Even after this anointed cleansing Yahushua still had to explain to them humility because several of them wanted to know who will be the greatest in the Kingdom.

He was also articulating who will really be doing the judging in the Kingdom as opposed to the errant teaching going around today that some think they themselves will be judging! - if we read and embrace what was written in in MattiYahu 19:27-28, Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 28 And Yahushua said unto them, "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" ......- and also in Luke 22:38-40, "Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. 29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel".......- it's amazing how many people want to re-write this just to put themselves in this position!

In the writings of Luke we can also see the image that h'mashiach was - for a purposeful reason "outing" a certain someone that would betray him, we read in Luke 22:22 , "...and truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!" ~ & also Mattiyahu 26:24, "....The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born".......- wow!, Yahushua was showing here pertaining to Judas what he spoke earlier in a parable similar to many others like him that we read back in Mattithyahu 13:29-30 & 41-42, Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?" 28 He said unto them, "An enemy hath done this". The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, "Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn" ......- and also 41-42, ".....the Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth".......- we know at this pre-Passover supper he was referring at that hour to Judas, but in a overall picture a warning to ALL that are unrighteous! .....they gots-ta go!

We should also remember what was written in Ezekiel 20:38, "....and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am YHWH ", ( also read Revelation 21:27, And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life ).

Notice how after Judas (uncleanliness) had left, only then h'mashiach pronounced himself being GLORIFIED, John 13:31-32, 31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Yahushua said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and Elohym is glorified in him. 32 If Elohym be glorified in him, Elohym shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him".......- first things first, .... out with the wicked - in with the GLORY! ( same applies to us )

Another shadow that Yahushua was casting light on was the FACT that in the Kingdom of Elohym we will be keeping the passover as articulated in several writings such as Mattiyahu 26:18-19, And he said, "Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. 19 And the disciples did as Yahushua had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. & also 26:29, "....but I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom". ~ & also Mark 14:25, "...verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of Elohym". ~ & mainly Luke 22:15-16, And he said unto them, "With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of Elohym".......- no comment needed!

learn: the upper room is a shadow figure of the Kingdom, so why would anyone want to leave the Kingdom? ...accept someone like Judas that was too corrupt to exist with the lamb. ( Proving that this supper was the night BEFORE the Passover! )

We also see another shadow of what took place and will take place in the Kingdom as we read in Mattiyahu. 26:30, And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. ~ & also Mark 14:26, And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. ......- a singing of hymns or songs as we later read or confirmed in Revelations 5:9-10, And they sung a new song, saying, "Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to Elohym by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our Elohym, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth". ~ & also Rev. 14:3, And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. ~ & also Rev. 15:3-4, And they sing the song of Moses the servant of Elohym, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvellous are thy works, YHWH  Elohy Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, YHWH, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest". ......- this will not be a talent show or a choir singing contest! - just honest heartfelt praise .....haleluYAH!

There are several parallels you can see between this shadow figure and the full light yet to come, but I just wanted us to understand so that we would have something to consume from this nourishing meal Yahushua was the guest of honor at, - will you be next?
