YAHUSHUA SPEAKS from BEGINNING to END

A Place to fellowship with the humble children of YHWH

razor-sharp or "dull" understanding?

shalom mishpacha, "All praises honor and glory continually to the Most High YHWH" our creator, our sustainer and from where all real blessings come, and baruka ha'bo beh'h'shem YHWH - blessed the coming in the name of YHWH ->>> YAHushua. I pray all is well with you and yours and if not, know assuredly it will be according to his will.

In this real short communique' I'd like to "cut to the quick" (sort-a-speak) about another minor doctrine some try to major in that is in itself NOT the way to eternal life. Believe it or not we still have folks focusing on a outter appearence more than a inner behavior. In our walk to be obedient to the laws commands of the most high YHWH as much as we possibly can, we still have issues about cutting hair. Before we get into this lets remember what we always should live by - YHWH's word reigns! If we need a refresher lets get some then: We know from the torah in debarym / deut. 4:2,

"Ye shall NOT add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of YHWH your ELOHYM which I command you". ......- and also debarym 12:32, "....what thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt NOT add thereto, nor diminish from it". ......- and also from the wisdom of melek Shelomo in mishle / proverbs 30:5-6, "....EVERY word of Eloah is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou NOT unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a LIAR". .......- NO COMMENT!!!

From the creation of mankind the most high wanted there to be a definative ( from the root word define) physical differentiation between man and woman not to mention he wanted a visual declaration of physical maturity that many still have trouble coping with. To prove this lets look at one example, the definition of the shemetic word zaqan: zqn - pronounced zaw-kawn', meaning: beard or whiskers (Strong's 2206) and how it is from the shemetic rootword zaqen: zqn - pronounced zaw-keen, meaning: to grow old or aged man (Strong's 2204). Just these definitions alone can show how even hair has a purpose other than covering but also uncovering and representing understanding. Much has been made about mens facial hair in these years whether or not to present ones self as the Most High created us but first ask yourself and the men around you: do you really truly want to visually be a represenative of the most high YHWH?, - then accept the fact that if the ultimate creator created you with something.... it has to be a good reason for it whether we understand and accept it or not. Notice in today's society driven by twisted mentalities from the "GOD of this world" it is counted un-attractive for a man to have much facial hair or a long beard, even among the so-called bible elite speakers and not to mention politicians that people feel are more honest -> only if they shave their face.... how stupid is that? If we let wisdom rule we can understand the most high YHWH doesn't have to put in words or writitng something he had already put in our genetics, ....duh!

To avoid arguing the same ole arguments that the unlearned have over the years lets look at the what and why from the word of Elohym. First the word "galakh" or shave: glkh - pronounced gaw-lakh' means: to shave, to make bald, to cut (Strong's 1548) 1st appears in the book of w'yqra / leviticus chapters 13 and 14 pertaining to skin plagues or leperosy and cleansing from it which included manditory affected area shaving. This is not what the various modern doctrines disagree about but more-so the voluntary management of hairs for those who are not the unclean, and teach doctrines such as the absolute forbidding of removing any facial hair ever they extrapolated from ineptly reading leviticus 19:27, "....Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard"......- and just from this 1 passage all the "know-it-all's" start philosophizing doctrines,..... They don't take the time to learn this is a command for the purpose of purging out pagan traditions and teaching that the children of Israel learned in "mtzraym" aka Egypt, now lets sharpen up that dull understanding. If we used wisdom and continue in the torah we will find later in that same book of leviticus 21:1-5, "....And YHWH said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people: 2 But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother, 3 And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled. 4 But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself. 5 They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh". .......- the Most High makes it abundantly clear here that the cutting of hair or making baldness as well as shaving or even cutting into the skin to memorialize the dead is a way to profane ones self ! .....This has NOTHING to do with one's public presentation. If we want to further verify the meaning of this command just keep reading in torah to debarym / deuteronomy 14:1, ".....Ye are the children of YHWH your Elohym: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead. 2 for thou art an holy people unto YHWH thy Elohym, and YHWH hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth". ......- again the concern about shaving from the Most High was against memorializing the dead, and a reminder that we are set apart to YHWH only, NOT to follow pagan tradition.

Even with these indications some failed to see from the prophet Isaiah that this would continue of the heathen though, In Isaiah 15:2 he prophesied of Moab, The burden of Moab. "Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; 2 He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off". ......- folks were still mourning for the dead - pagan style.

Only if we finally understand as a nation of Kings and Priest why we were told not to shave maybe we can relax and deal with or groom our outer apperance with less stress.

I Believe many are getting the issue mixed up with the "vow of a natzrite" from whats written in b'midbar / numbers 6:1-9, And YHWH spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, "When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto YHWH: 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. 5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto YHWH, he shall be qdosh, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. 6 All the days that he separateth himself unto YHWH he shall come at no dead body. 7 He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his Elohym is upon his head. 8 All the days of his separation he is qdosh unto YHWH. 9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it". ......- now if any person wants to vow that vow to the Most High thats a wonderful thing - just don't half-step! ( quite as it is kept, I think some may want to look like a nazerite but not fully live as one) and don't get these specific requirements twisted up with the routine of non-vowers. Through study we should have understood a example of what went on with Sampson from reading the book of Judges, in chapter 13:2-5 it told us: And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not. 3 And the angel of YHWH appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. 4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: 5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and NO RAZOR shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto ELOHYM from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. ......- we read later this disobedient man ate unclean honey from the carcase of a dead lion (14:9) and even gave this uncleaness to his parents as well as the major mistake of letting a heathen woman (a mother of harlots - hint hint) destroy his covering,..... BAD career move!

Even before all of Jacob's aka Israel's family went down into Egypt in the first place we remember that Joseph had to meet with Pharoh, shown in Gen. 41:14, Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he SHAVED himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. ......- I have never read or heard of a account of how this was unpleasing to YHWH, - the man simply tidied himself up! As we continue through time we also saw in 2nd Samuel 14:25-26, But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him. 26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king’s weight .......- Absalom certainly had his issues but him polling aka cutting his hair wasn't one of them. It seemed to be a tradition NOT torah for some to groom themselves up physically at the end of the hebrew calendar year ( I myself still do this ) before the first new moon of the year, and from torah for all to clean themselves up spiritually by yom kippur on the tenth day of the seventh month.

Lastly but not least there is a very important prophecy that still remains we all need to look at. The edyfing prophecy you are probably already familiar with from the prophet Ezekiel but lets re-visit it. In his prophecy to the kohanym aka priest the Levites the sons of Zadok, (keeping in mind we are still to be Kings and Priest as written in Revelations 1:6), in Ezekiel 44:17-20, "....and it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within. 18 They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat. 19 And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments. 20 Neither shall they SHAVE their heads, nor suffer their locks to GROW LONG; they shall only POLL their heads. ......- so before we know-it-alls decide whether or not a man will get into the Kingdom of Elohym or end up in the lake of fire because of the length of their hair or beard, maybe we better read this with comprehesion first.

selah, .....shalom.

Shalom Akhee Shmanu Yah, may Abba YAHWAH once again bless you for your teaching, in hopes that we gain a better understanding of HIS WORD, HALELUYAH!   The thought has often crossed my mind as to this question: 'If  YAHWAH gave man a beard, why does he shave it off?  We are not created with YAHWAH making a mistake in our makeup.  Our folks have a hard time with letting go of this world and in following after the other nations around us.  Why do we have such a hard time in wanting to be set apart?   I think every believer & non-believer needs to read this writing, and hopefully gain understanding.  Todah for the verses of Scripture, I needed to know what they were.  I have received the wisdom!   HALELUYAH!

Ahavah rabah B'Yahoshua Ha Mashyakh,

Shabat shalom weh Khag Samayakh Akhee Shmanu YAH. May Abba YAHWAH forever be pleased with your efforts in helping us reason & understand HIS WORD. First of all, as a child I wondered why men shaved if having a bread, it was for a reason.  The Father did not give men a beard to shave off, not hair to grow to be cut off.  Be it a mustash, beard or hair on the head, it was for a reason. The Father has a reason for everything He does. Just because we lack understanding doesn't mean HIS WORD CHANGES. Why does everyone miss the point / teaching where YAHWAH says : no razor / cutting shall come upon thy body ?  His way is plain &  simple to understand.  People's ideas or thought do not outweigh what YAHWAH has taught us to do. Corporate America has truly messed up Yisrael's mind when it comes to the work force.  It's either shave or have no job! Brothers have struggled for yrs because of this, never mind the razor bumps, skin irritations, etc, . Polling one's hair doesn't mean cutting it off ; it means holding it / gathering it together : braiding, locking it together, not cutting it off. When you see a brother with long hair, braided it may be, his mustash, his beardl: he looks so regal!  His Priestly presence comes forth!  in obeying YAHWAH, this  is visible to the naked eye!  Yisrael, plz rise! Someone take one look @ you, they know you are different.  Sorry I didn't quote Scrioture this time, just letting off some frustration. I do understand & I wish our brothers didn't shave or cut their hair. Let it be known, the ways of the world, our NOT our ways. Todah YAHWAH for the ancient paths of our forefathers! May we learn them & adhere to them.   SELAH!

YAH BLESS,

Emah AtalYah
